The story behind Black Lab Brands is deeply personal. It’s rooted in my journey, shaped by my experiences, my love for dogs, and my commitment to creating products that not only stand the test of time but make a lasting difference. Before Black Lab, I founded a "ballistic" dog bed company—one that grew rapidly, gaining recognition for creating some of the toughest, most durable beds on the market. I worked relentlessly to build a company that reflected my values of loyalty, quality, and innovation. But despite the success, my story took an unexpected turn. I had brought in a long-time friend as a partner—someone I trusted deeply, someone I considered family. Unfortunately, this partnership soured when that person betrayed my trust and stole from the company. After years of hard work, I found myself faced with an incredibly painful decision: sell my stake in the company and walk away.

That experience was a turning point for me. Instead of staying trapped in negativity, I chose to move forward, fueled by a desire to build something new—something better. With Black Lab Brands, I set out to create products that embody everything I had learned from my past company, but with a renewed sense of purpose. A purpose driven by integrity, sustainability, and quality craftsmanship.

I wanted Black Lab to stand for something deeper than just another product on the shelf. I wanted it to represent the same loyalty I’ve always felt toward my dogs, to show that with perseverance and a commitment to doing things the right way, anything is possible.
