I have zero experience with the Black Lab brand. In fact, it took me maybe a week of on/off searching for dog collars to find exactly what I needed and this dog collar is perfect for me. It really is ultralight, it's quite durable so far (about 16 months of use currently and counting..), and the quality is great.
A couple things to note for potential buyers: Taking this collar off with one hand is a bit trickier than the standard plastic pinch buckle that 98% of dog collars use. It's a bit trickier due to the Fidlock magnetic buckle, but you get used to it and figure it out quickly. That's literally the only negative I have to say about this collar. Sometimes it takes me a couple tries with one hand, but with two hands it's no problem whatsoever. However, putting this collar on is extremely fast and easy. It's actually my favorite part about this collar! And I prefer being able to put the collar on quickly in the mornings when my girl is hyper. At night, she's already half asleep so it's easy to take off with one hand anyways. That's all
It still looks pretty good and it's holding up after 16 months with my insane Doberman mix teenager. Great collar!!

I purchased an XL collar for my dog after he outgrew his previous collar. I have included pictures of the collar being worn and by itself. The magnetic clasp is so easy to use when I am putting it on or taking it off. We swap often between his collar and a harness for training and walks. I also attached an airtag mount to the collar. It screws in place through the collar and had no issues with the collar tearing or fraying after the airtag mount was screwed into place. I have already told all of my friends and family about Black Lab collars! Thank you for making such an incredible product!

This collar is cool. Hard to explain but if your thinking about buying one, pull the trigger. You'll understand once you see it in person. Understated to perfection.
