Can be used on its own for hard-wearing durability that will hold up to the elements. With it's RF welded seams it is 100% waterproof and incredibly easy to clean. Hydrophobic valve was created especially for our mattress with a layer of a specialized fine mesh treated with DWR, protected by a second durable mesh layer. Comes with an optional valve plug for piece of mind if using the mattress in extreme elements. My dogs waiting in line for the ability to lay on this bed. We live in a place where it can be 27 and snowing in the morning and 60° and sunny in the afternoon I need a bed that’ll hold up to the rain, wind and snow this one does it all. I have three Golden Retrievers and a terrier (to rule them all) and they all love it. Buy it your dogs will thank you

Great beds around the house or out camping. Don’t collect dirt and debris like cloth beds. If you’re on the fence about buying one go for it you won’t regret it.
